Bela Vista is a 3 bedroomed holiday occupying an elevated position in the countryside between the villages of Bordeira (approx. 3km) and Santa Barbara (approx. 4km) and just over 1km from Quita das Raposeiras estate, where there is a cafe and tennis courts for hire.

It is ideal for families who want a peaceful villa in beautiful surroundings, but within easy reach of small shops, bars and restaurants. There are wonderful views towards the coast from many parts of the extensive garden. Bela Vista also has a large private swimming pool (10m x 5m, depth 1m to 2.4m, with roman steps) with sun terraces, and which are handily walled and gated and reached via a short pathway through the garden from the villa. Inside, the house is traditionally but very comfortably furnished in typical Portuguese style with parquet floorings and is very well equipped. Two storeys. Downstairs is a lounge/dining room with satellite TV and DVD, country-style kitchen with full cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and utility room with washing machine. Glazed patio with BBQ and dining area for cooler evenings. One double and one twin bedroom and a full bathroom, plus a further cloakroom/WC. Upstairs is a large single bedroom (with extra bed for a child), en suite shower/WC and a large balcony. There is also a further BBQ and outside dining terrace at the rear of the house, alongside the pathway leading to the pool area. Maid service twice weekly and linen/towel change weekly.

Away from the busy coastline, a different Algarve awaits you. This is a land of green hills that attracts walkers from all over Europe, of sleepy old towns with a history that goes back to ancient times, of charming villages with steep cobbled streets and whitewashed houses framed in blue and yellow, of wide orange and lemon groves. This is your chance to see the old town of Silves, with its massive castle, Alte, one of the prettiest villages in the Algarve and the spa town of Monchique, with its wonderfully restored main square harking back to more elegant times and stunning views over the plains below. Or take a trip to Barragem do Arade, an enormous lake where you can swim, canoe, picnic and enjoy the scenery. Yet just a few miles away there are the famous resorts on the Algarve coast, offering something for everyone. You’re in easy reach of an enormous choice of golf courses and beautiful beaches with their distinctive rock formations and golden sands, as well as all the attractions and entertainment you expect from a holiday in the sun. Further afield there’s the town of Sagres, the Algarve’s most westerly point and the unspoilt and uncrowded beaches of the western coast.
