Casa Das Palmeiras is a 4 bedroomed holiday villa built in typical Portuguese style with a Moorish influence. It enjoys a tranquil position set back from the road that leads to the beautiful Castelo Beach, is on small private estate of just four houses with a security entrance, and is within an easy walk of nearby shops and restaurants.
The villa is scheduled for internal refurbishment in January 2010 with all of the bathrooms and the kitchen being replaced and the lounge and bedrooms due to be updated in time for the 2010 summer season. Photos were taken before the planned refurbishment. The private walled garden is lined with pretty palm trees and a lawn to one side. There's a large swimming pool and separate children's pool and a barbecue, dining furniture and sun loungers. Separating the villa from its nearest neighbour, Villa Mirasol, is a wonderful large lawned garden, which is a perfect place for family games and entertainment or for children to play with neighbouring children. Palmeiras and Mirasol are two of just four villas in this private cul-de-sac with security gated entrance so a wonderful area for an entertaining family holiday.
Albufeira is a lively and historic resort on a beautiful part of the Algarve's curving coastline. Seven gorgeous sandy beaches with dramatic rock formations stretch both east and west of the town - from the long beach of Praia D'Oura to a string of small coves carved out of honey-coloured cliffs. It's still a working fishing town, with boats and the mending of nets on the beach. And the new marina has confirmed Albufeira as a contemporary sailing centre. You can take sailing trips along the coast, try windsurfing and diving, or hire your own boat for a short spin. The resort itself is as lively or relaxed as your holiday. There's a historic old town with steep narrow streets and whitewashed buildings - and a lively party strip for sparkling nights in bars and clubs. More relaxed evenings centre around waterfront restaurants - with Portuguese regional cooking, cafés and bars with lovely Algarve wines. There's lots of great shopping in Albufeira too - with traditional Portuguese design and weekly specialist markets. The Algarve is famous for its world-class golf courses and there are three great courses a short drive from Albufeira. The area around Albufeira is as beautiful as its beaches. There are lots of walks and inland the countryside has gorgeous views back out to sea. Inside the house is bright and airy with lots of natural light. On the ground floor there is a comfortable lounge dining room with a TV and DVD player, the TV receives a selection of freeview English channels, and there's also patio doors leading to the pool. The recently replaced kitchen features all the modern appliances including a dishwasher, the washing machine is housed in a separate utility room off the kitchen. Also on the ground floor there is a master double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a shower and patio doors leading out to the pool and terrace. There is also a twin bedroom with built in wardrobes and to the side is a separate house shower bathroom. Marble stairs lead to a small sitting area with patio doors out onto to a large terrace with views across surrounding countryside. There are two further bedrooms upstairs - a double and a twin - the double bedroom has an en-suite full bathroom and doors to a private terrace. The twin bedroom has an en-suite shower bathroom and also has doors leading to a small private terrace.
