Fafe, Minho Portual - Tourist Information

Fafe is a small town 10 miles east of Guimaraes in the heart of the Minho region of North Portugal. It s originates from an ancient settlement and was known as Monte Longo around a thousand years ago. Some artefacts that have been uncovered in Fafe are on display in the Martins Sarmento Museum in Guimaraes. It is a convenient base from which to explore the region and the nearby towns of Guimaraes and Braga.
