Kitesurfing and windsurfing are particularly popular on the vast open beach bay at Meia Praia. You can hire kitesurfing and windsurfing equipment here. Although Lagos is certainly a surfing centre, with a choice of surfing schools based here, surfing trips tend to head to the west coast around Carrapateira where the Atlantic hits the beautiful sandy beach here full on.

Scuba Diving and deep sea diving is superb around Lagos too, and a number of Padi registered diving companies offer diving trips and courses tailored for all, including kids! Lagos, if you didn't know is one of the World's top diving hotspots. Lagos Boat Trips Algarve

With dramatic coastal rock formations and sculptures at nearby Ponta da Piedade and numerous beaches and coves in the Lagos area waiting to be explored, it's not surprising that Lagos is a hotspot for boat trips.
